Maa Skandamata is the fifth manifestation of Goddess Durga, worshipped on Panchami. Her name literally means "The Mother of Skanda" (another name for Lord Kartikeya, the commander-in-chief of the divine army). The vibration of Skandamata is the vibration of Maternal Power—the perfect fusion of love and leadership.
