The Pranamaya Kosha (Vital Energy Sheath) is the second layer of the human being, acting as the bridge between the physical body (Annamaya) and the mental body (Manomaya). It is the realm of Prana—the life force or bio-energy that sustains all biological functions.
These are physical "locks" used to redirect and contain Prana within the torso so it doesn't leak out.
Mula Bandha (Root Lock): Stabilizes pelvic energy.
Uddiyana Bandha (Abdominal Lock): Transmutes energy upward toward the heart and throat.
Jalandhara Bandha (Chin Lock): Regulates energy flow to the brain.
